ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: E.(dward) Everett Evans came to writing VERY late in life. Born in 1893, he died at age sixty-five (December 2, 1958). During an eight year span (1947-1956) he wrote four novels and twenty four short stories, he collaborated with Edward E. Smith and Ray Bradbury, and joined a small select number of authors (Murray Leinster, Poul Anderson, and Fredric Brown) who were in the process of serializing a novel when the magazine ("Spaceway") went bust.
In "Science Fiction and Fantasy Literature: a Checklist - Vol. 2" according to Charles Nuetzel who became good friends with Evans he (Evans) was a great fan of Burroughs "and have what was called by his secretary (ERB's), Miss. Jennings, the last books he (ERB) autographed..."
