DESCRIPTION: FIRST EDITION. 1 volume, folio, 12-5/8" x 9", complete with the engraved frontis portrait plate by Loggan but without the 12 page index which was issued later, largely clean and bright throughout. Bound in somewhat recent 1/2 maroon leather, raised bands, gilt lettered brown morocco spine label.

CONDITION: Hinges fine overall VERY GOOD.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Fuller died in 1661 and this, his final work, was published by the efforts of his son one year later. Famously, this volume is perhaps mostly known for including the first biographical mention of William Shakespeare, 41 years after his folio, and 46 years after his death. (1618).
