From the Author.", bound in 1/2 blue calf, floral gilt decorated spine, gilt lettered red morocco spine label, top edge gilt, others uncut, with the bookplates of "H. Buxton Forman" (his sale NY Anderson Galleries 1920 Lot #819) - J. O. Edwards & Joseph L. Lilienthal.

CONDITION: Hinges rubbed, head and foot of spine rubbed with some slight loss, internally clean and bright, still VERY GOOD.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: H. Buxton Forman was a 19th c. scholar, book collector and forger whose bibliographic misdeeds (along with the other great 19th c. forger T.J. Wise) were uncovered by John Carter and Graham Pollard in "An Enquiry into the nature of certain Nineteenth Century pamphlets."
