DESCRIPTION: FIRST EDITION IN PARTS LACKING ONLY 1 AD! 20 parts in 19, illustrated by H K. Browne, the usual foxing and toning to plates, spines neatly relined at some early date, complete with all the Bleak House Advertiser's and all adverts as called for by Hatton & Cleaver with the exception of one rear ad in part 16.
CONDITION: Some minor wear to cover edges of part 1 otherwise wrappers largely in VERY GOOD condition, hinge to rear wrapper of part 19/20 neatly repaired with Japanese tissue, housed in a green clamshell slipcase, gilt lettered spine. Overall still a VERY GOOD set.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Dickens in parts are becoming increasingly difficult to find for a reasonable price in good condition.
