DESCRIPTION: FIRST EDITION FIRST ISSUE BOUND FROM THE PARTS. 1 vol., 8-1/2" x 5-7/8", illustrated by Hablot Knight Browne (Phiz), includes the 8 "dark" plates. Bound in contemporary 1/2 dark maroon morocco, ribbed gilt decorated spine, marbled pastedowns and endpapers.
CONDITION: Inner and outer hinges fine, head and foot of spine fine, text internally clean and bright, additional engraved fronts and title-page with some foxing but less than normal, all other plates largely clean, a VERY GOOD copy.
