Browne ("Phiz"), first state of engraved title reading "Tony Veller" on signboard, p.342 with "S. Veller", page 432, headline, "F" in "OF" imperfect, with one (p.74) of the two scarce suppressed plates by Buss, Pickwick misspelled ("Picwkick") on p. 375, and several others, plates clean and bright throughout. Bound in 1/4 dark brown calf, ribbed gilt decorated spine, gilt lettered black morocco spine labels, all edges gilts.
CONDITION: Hinges fine, head and foot of spine fine. A VERY GOOD copy.
