ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Dodgson occasionally reprinted short pieces to distribute among his friends. The present paper came straight from the Dodgson papers secured by Messers. Parker of Oxford after his death, and Collingwood also vouches for the fact. and for the date.
The passages tend to show that colds are caught by passing suddenly from a cold atmosphere to a hot room, like chilblains.
