ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pencil note to half-title stating "Given to Gillian in 1952 by her grandfather, James Dodgson Hessey, son of James Hessey above." The Rev. James Augustus Hessey (1814-1892) was Headmaster and Church of England Clergyman, was born in London, and was the son of a bookseller and printer.
