Bound in fine full tan calf, ribbed gilt decorated spines, gilt lettered light and dark brown morocco spine labels, covers ruled in gilt, Doyle's signature gilt tooled to all front covers, marbled pastedowns and endpapers, top edges gilt, others uncut, minor stain to extreme upper edge of pages in 6 volumes otherwise in NEAR FINE condition.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This edition was designed to succeed the 1903 Authors Edition. Previous to this edition there was no definitive edition of Doyle's collected works. The Authors edition misses many of Doyle's most famous Holmes' stories. The Crowborough is the only real comprehensive complete works of Doyle.
