DESCRIPTION: LIMITED EDITION SIGNED BY FIELD'S BROTHER. 12 vols., 7-9/16" x 5-3/8", frontis in each volume, limited to 100 numbered copies on Japan Vellum this being copy #62, signed by Eugene Field's brother Roswell and dated "Chicago. November 12. 1909" in volume seven at the end of his introduction, bound in 1/2 brown marbled calf, ribbed gilt decorated spines, top edges gilt, others uncut as issued.
CONDITION: Internally clean and bright, inner and outer hinges fine, head and foot of spines fine, a VERY GOOD set.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Roswell Martin Field (1851–1919). An American journalist and writer; born in St. Louis, MO, Sept. 1, 1851; died in 1919. He wrote: ‘In Sunflower Land’ (1892); ‘The Romance of an Old Fool’ (1902); ‘The Bondage of Ballinger’ (1903); ‘Little Miss Dee’ (1904); ‘Madeline’ (1906). In ‘Echoes from the Sabine Farm’ he collaborated with his brother, Eugene Field.
