DESCRIPTION: FIRST EDITION PRESENTATION COPY. 1 vol., with "and" on p. 232, line 6, inscribed by Fitzgerald on the front blank endleaf, "For Jeanette Baker from F. Scott Fitzgerald the well-known author", with an additional charming gift inscribed by Jeanette to her daughter Jenifer Lee Blair "on her birthday, Oct. 1, 1964 from her momme. Jeanette Baker Lee, in remembrance of _ _ _ ent time of the jazz age 42 years ago.".  Bound in the publisher's original gilt and blind stamped green cloth, gilt lettering to spine.

CONDITION: Upper corner of page vii torn (1" x 1") with slight loss of 1 letter, short (1/8") pull to head of spine, foot of spine fine, back corners slightly rubbed, inner and outer hinges fine, textblock square, completely unsophisticated, a better copy then it may sound, overall VERY GOOD.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: A very scarce title to find inscribed.  We can find only 4 inscribed copies at auction since 1995 and nothing before that.

This work includes one of his better-known short stories, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" which was the basis for the film bearing the same name, starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett.
