Milne, this 100th edition limited to 500 numbered copies on handmade paper this being copy #246, illustrated with tipped in color plates by Arthur Rackham, bound in full dark red morocco, ribbed gilt decorated spine, covers ruled in gilt, recessed center panel to front cover with multi-color blind stamped morocco onlays reproducing the illustration opposite page 6, gilt signature of Rackham to lower left corner, gilt dentelles, marbled pastedowns and endpapers, top edge gilt, others uncut as issued, by Sangorski & Sutcliffe/Zaehnsdorf. The whole housed in a matching 1/2 leather backed clamshell fitted slipcase, ribbed gilt decorated spine, incorporating a sterling silver toad handled magnifying glass and a leather strapped sterling silver toad mounted bookmark.

CONDITION: QUITE THE PRODUCTION IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
