Annie Louise Miller, newspaper writer, was born at Worthington, Iowa, daughter of William C. and Emma (Butterworth) Miller. An extensive traveler, Miss Miller made a trip around the world and to Australia 1909-10, and spent the winter of 1914-15 in India, and Burma. During the World War she acted as state secretary of the women's committee of the Nebraska Council of Defense, and served as trustee of the Nebraska Federation of Women's Clubs scholarship fund for ten years.
