Lowell, frontis portrait plate in volume one, first edition of volume 4, bound in 1/2 contemporary brown morocco, ribbed gilt decorated spines, marbled edges, pastedowns and endpapers.

CONDITION: Internally clean and bright, no previous ownership markings, inscriptions, or bookplates, inner and outer hinges fine, head and foot of spine fine, overall VERY GOOD.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The first collected edition was in 3 volumes in 1853.  The fourth volume was added in 1856.
