DESCRIPTION: FIRST EDITION. 6 vols., 8-9/16" x 5-5/8", illustrated with six engraved frontispieces after Robert Smirke, bound in fine full contemporary tan calf, ribbed gilt decorated spines, covers ruled and paneled in gilt and blind, gilt dentelles, marbled edges, marbled pastedowns and endpapers.

CONDITION: Hinges fine, head and foot of spines fine, mild offsetting to title-pages, front upper hinge of volume four neatly repaired, otherwise VERY GOOD.
