AUTHOR: STOKER, Bram.
TITLE: Dracula.
PUBLISHER: London: Archibald Costable, 1897.
DESCRIPTION: FIRST EDITION SECOND PRINTING. 1 vol., with the 1 page "The Shoulder of Shasta" final ad leaf integral to the text, bound in the publisher's original red stamped yellow cloth.
CONDITION: Mild general overall handling, head and foot of spine fine, outer hinges fine, back corners still square, inner hinges just starting, ding to the head of spine affecting the first 2 letters in Dracula, 2 short closed tears to text, small red ownership stamp to front blank endleaf and half title otherwise internally clean and bright, housed in a red morocco backed clamshell slipcase.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: A notoriously difficult book to find clean and in un-restored condition. Nearly all copies have been either rebacked, relined, recased or restored in some fashion but this copy has survived, thankfully, eluding the re-storer. For twice the price you could hope for a crummy first printing and for nearly 3 times the price a really nice first printing. All things considered one of the nicest copies of the second printing available at this price point.
