DESCRIPTION: 3 vols. bound in 2, 6-1/8" x 4-1/4", illustrated with 14 hand-colored erotic lithographed plates, coat-of-arms stamp on each title-page, original printed upper wrappers bound in (2 with some loss to corners), bound in 20th C. full red morocco, raised bands, gilt lettered spines, front covers triple ruled in gilt, top edges gilt.
CONDITION: Internally clean and bright, inner and outer hinges fine, head and foot of spines fine, overall VERY GOOD.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: A translation of the work by Nicolas Chorier entitled "Aloisiae Sigeae Satyra Sotadica." Here wrongly attributed to Meursius. The translator's dedication signed: l'Abbé de T***, i.e. Jean Terrasson?
