ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: K. Morris is Katie Morris who worked at the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Cambridge. Accompanying this item is one of her pay stubs, her invitation to the 20th Anniversary party given by Bantam on Oct. 21, 2008 at The Royal Society in London, a photo of Stephen at this event, as well as her invitation to Stephen Hawking's 50th birthday party inscribed "Katie and friend".
In certain circles people knew that Stephen had an affinity for Marilyn Monroe. He even had a life size poster of the iconic image of Marilyn over the subway grate on the back of his office door. So it’s no surprise that they would have arranged a Marilyn impersonator for his 50th birthday.
