DESCRIPTION: FOURTH AND BEST EDITION. 1 vol., folio, 12-3/4" x 8", numerous illustrations in text, double-page engraving of Persepolis by Wenceslas Hollar (early repair along fold), two full page plates of Babylon and Temple of Belus, with the scarce vertical half-title bound in the rear, lacking the additional engraved title page, otherwise complete. Bound in contemporary full brown calf over cords.

CONDITION: Head and foot of spine rubbed with loss, upper and lower hinges starting but covers firmly attached, back corners rubbed with loss to two corners, internally clean and bright, still a GOOD+ copy in an unrestored contemporary binding.
