DESCRIPTION: FOURTEENTH EDITION SIGNED BY HOYLE. 1 vol., 6-1/8" x 3-15/16", (xii)3-216, complete, signed by Hoyle to the verso of the lower edge of the title-page, bound in contemporary full sheep over cords.
CONDITION: Hinges cracked, front cover becoming detached, head and foot of spine rubbed with some loss, internally clean, overall a VERY GOOD copy.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Fourteenth Edition published in 1765 was just signed by Hoyle, not by Osborne who had died in 1767. Hoyle died in 1769 and succeeding editions of this book were signed by him in facsimile.
According to RBH the last copy to appear at auction was 2014.
