ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The "Mount" in Lenox, MA purchased for $2.6 million almost the entirety of Edith Wharton's 2,600 volume library in 2005 from a British bookseller who has cared for the collection since 1984. In 35 years we have only had one other very dull book from her library. We know this is only volume 2 but it's a good one and the cleanest shirt you'll find in the hamper.
