Dear Mr. Hutchinson, Thank you so much for your kind and sympathetic letter. It arrived in the middle of our move. But we are safely here now. Easiest for us both would be for you to post your Pooh to me here and I will post it back (We sold our bookshop 10 years ago to a couple like ourselves and it thrives). And I look forward to receiving it. If you mistrust the G.P.O it could be registered, but they’ve never foiled us yet. Yours sincerely Christopher Milne".
This could quite possible be the only known presentation copy by Christopher Milne of a first edition of "Winnie The Pooh". We can find only one other first edition which was inscribed by A. A. Milne but only signed (not inscribed) by Christopher Milne. It sold in 1995 at Christies for £6,750 Pounds.
