CONDITION: Head and foot of spine fine, inner and outer hinges fine, a VERY GOOD copy.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This illuminated manuscript 'Book of Hours' is of the Milanese and Flemish Schools and is of the highest order. The plates are printed in collotype. This is a reproduction of Charles V's, the Holy Roman Emperor, Book of Hours originally created for Bona Sforza, Duchess of Milan. The introduction by G.F. Warner deals with the history of the manuscript and commentary about the plates and artistic content. The fine details of the drawings and the artistic merits of the composition will not fail to excite the admiration of those interested in a fine example of the Book of Hours which is considered one of the most finest examples.
